South Texas Health System Edinburg proudly invites you to a special celebration recognizing one of our very own — Javen Hinojosa, a dedicated emergency room nurse recently named the national winner of ImageFIRST’s HeroesFIRST Competition!

The HeroesFIRST program honors healthcare professionals who go above and beyond to enhance the patient experience, embodying ImageFIRST’s core values: Be Safe, Be Honest, Be Respectful, and most of all, Be Remarkable.

This year marks a historic milestone as, for the first time ever, a nurse from the Rio Grande Valley not only made it to the Top 8 but claimed the #1 spot nationwide — earning the most votes and a national cash prize.
