Payroll Compliance Workshop

Small business owners are invited to attend a payroll workshop on March 11, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, at the RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, located at 801 E. Fern Ave. in McAllen.

The “Payroll Compliance” session covers the steps owners need to take when hiring employees and the specific government agencies to contact over payroll.

“Before hiring personnel, business owners need to be aware of the pertinent legal requirements, as well as, the payroll taxes they must pay in order to be in compliance with state and federal laws,” shares Cristina Cantu, a Senior Business and HR Advisor with the UTRGV Small Business Development Center (SBDC).

The session is sponsored by the UTRGV SBDC and hosted by the RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. There is no fee to attend but pre-registration is required.
