This Thursday, October 2nd at 9:00 a.m., South Texas College will break ground on a state-of-the-art, 16,715-square-foot Kinesiology Center at 3200 W. Pecan Blvd., Building Q, McAllen on the north side of our Pecan Campus.
This $7 million investment will transform how we serve our students and community. The new facility will feature:
- Four modern classrooms
- A computer lab
- Multi-purpose room
- Dedicated exercise, dojo, and spin rooms
- Faculty offices and support service spaces
This dynamic new center will be home to our growing Kinesiology, Fitness, and Sports Education Programs, while also serving our vibrant intramural sports community in flag football, basketball, soccer, and volleyball.
Students, faculty, and staff will now have a dedicated, world-class space for learning, training, and practicing. Your presence at this groundbreaking would be an honor as we celebrate this transformative project and the opportunities it will bring to the Rio Grande Valley.
