South Texas Health System McAllen, the flagship hospital of South Texas Health System known for its comprehensive services, has officially expanded its minimally invasive surgical capabilities. Last month, the facility launched its robotic surgery program with the acquisition of the brand new da Vinci® 5 Robotic Surgical System, the latest in robotic assisted surgical technology, Intuitive’s most advanced and integrated robotic surgery system to date. Designed for enhanced patient outcomes, the da Vinci 5 (DV5) is transforming surgery by improving precision and efficiency with first of its kind technology for surgeons with varying levels of experience.
